A photo a day – knackered and dirty

I’m ill. I’ve caught a rotten cold and ache all over. The problem is that I have to get out of bed otherwise risks getting pressure sores, especially when my body is more under the weather. So I managed to get up. This photo is taken looking over the side of my bed. All the fluff on the drawer is attracted by the glue I use – I’ve long since stopped trying to scrape it off.

The image shows my wheelchair, night urine bag, rubbish draw (for stuff I discard as I get up) and grabber.

Anyway I processed this image into monochrome because its the shapes and textures that stand out for me and so I wanted to bring them out. I did play with the image in Adobe elements to make the shapes very strong by contrasting out the textures but it didn’t work as well as this.

The photo represents how I feel: knackered and dirty.
