Well I am still not over my cold so Karen slept in the loft and I spent the night sweating, coughing and being a brave little soldier. I did however take the opportunity to tryout the Sony RX100 Mark 2 in almost total darkness.
Now apart from adjusting for lens distortion I have not altered anything else. The image was shot at ISO 3200, F/2.8, 3.2 seconds on aperture priority mode. Its soft because it was hand held with the ISI set to auto. I think its quite impressive for a compact camera. But I think its quite impressive for a compact camera as the reality was much much darker than the image portrays.
I don’t think this is a particularly good photo but it does make me think about all the processing that is going on in the camera to achieve this shot and how different digital imagery is to film.
