A photo a day – other people’s Sundays

I had no idea what I was going to photo today. I’ve been wrapped up thinking about selecting photos for Source, exhibiting with some other students at Bank Street Arts, and thinking how I might usefully spend the time I’ve got prior to beginning my MA. But as is the habit Sunday involved a short wheel to the paper shop to buy the Sunday papers. I live by the High Street and so have a number of options of routes and where I buy from. Today’s route took me past a number of bustling cafes and this image gives a flavour of how other people spend their day off as apposed to mine.

The shot was taken at 11.18am and so the cafe is full of people having late breakfasts or tea and cakes. I particularly liked the fact that St George’s church is reflected in the window and so adds to the religious connotation of the image. I did wanted about emphasising the  people a bit more, like this below but preferred the form of the one above and the framing of the cafe in its setting.
