Today’s photo could be seen as the polar opposite to yesterday. That was a factual image documenting a newsworthy event; today’s photo is pure fiction.
I was thinking back to the days of black and white TV where the picture often suffered from interference and the TV props were not very realistic but the stories told were clear and honest. Maybe this was because the complexities of realism was stripped away to leave sets of values more visible to see and understand. Goodies looked good, baddies looked bad.

The photo is made in the spirit of Joel Peter-Witkin (link) but with TV references less dark and more from the era of William Hartnell in Doctor Who.
