A photo a day – suburban spectacle

Do you just wakeup sometimes feeling great? I do, and this morning was one of those days. I’d nothing planned – just pottering around the house, a little cleaning in the kitchen and a man coming to quote about some work in the back garden. But the sky was blue, the birds were singing and I just feel GOOD.

I don’t do much HDR photography (link) but felt the approach matched my mood rather well and so took this photo from Alex’s room. Technically this isn’t an HDR photo as its one image manipulated in Lightroom for the effect.

Should I have moved Alex’s photo out of the way because it offers nothing but disruption to the form? Would the photo be less or more authentic because of its inclusion or exclusion? Who knows, but such questions have rumbled on since the day Arthur Rothstein’s photo of the bleached Steer’s skull was published (link).
