A photo a day – my landing

I’ve been mainly planning for the Bank Street Arts Exhibition today – where six past and present OCA students have come together to show some of our work off (link). So rather than think a lot about what and how to shoot today I just shot this image of the landing in my home.

It’s all about line, low point of view and tone really, and while evocative, not very representative of how I feel just now, which is very positive.  Why does this phot0 make me think of Francesca Woodman? Her photos are full of signs, motifs and people, are monochrome and soft – yet that’s who comes to mind; maybe its the tone of the image.
