A photo a day – nothing

I’m tired and not very motivated today. I shouldn’t feel like this as there its lots of good things happening just now – not least Greg comes home for the weekend on Friday from Berlin. But there we; are I’m down and so need to distract myself and so engaged in a photographic exercise aimed at taking a photo of nothing.

Did I succeed? I know that the images are of things – all photos have a referent – but I have tried to create an image of things so insignificant and ubiquitous that we barely take any notice of them.

Yet I hope the images offers you a lot of information and interest. The form of the photos with their strong contrasting liens and textures make, I think, for an interesting composition. But I am biased. 🙂

The textures are very good. I’m often looking at tree bark – especially when it gets covered in green algae.
