Greg and Alex are out, there is no football and so Karen and I decided to pop down to Chatham Dockyard for a few hours. It was a warm afternoon but hardly anyone was present so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. This would have been my photo of the day save for Karen larking around.
Most of the shots were framed panoramically because the place is so big. But here below I wanted to concentrate on the poster. It was on site because the company the film the “Call the Midwife” series film on site.
I’ve “colour popped” the image by de-saturating the colour around the poster and merged three shots into one to have Karen populate all the cyclists. The top image though works very well on a computer screen – the 2:1 ratio really gives it a presence that 4:3 doesn’t offer on a PC.
