My son received a package of festival tickets this morning but the tickets were nothing like I had seen before.
The ticket came in for the form of a small treasure chest like box with a large Victorian type of key inside an envelope marked “Unlock Devine Happiness”. When he opened the treasure chest with the key he saw a red and gold wrist band illuminated by a yellow patterned light.
This made me think a lot about marketing. The clever festival organisers had turned a simple receiving of a ticket into an event. If you are interested here is the link to the festival (link).
Accordingly, my photo of the box and its contents followed an expressive/magical evocation rather than just documenting it. For example I used a narrow depth of field, tight framing and selected contrast to display the contents.
Definitely clever marketing. Are we allowed to know the Festival?

Too far to travel at such short notice. That’s a shame! Never mind – will have to do with watching Glastonbury on TV.
