A photo a day – form or narrative?

Choice is central to artistic life isn’t it. I find the myriad of choices sometimes act rather like an anchor on experimentation and just push  me back into making safe decisions about what to create and how to present it. Today is no different. I travelled on the Emirates cable car and took a number of photos.

Do I choose this which I like for its form…

Or this, which I like for its narrative…

Or this for its difference…

In the end the central image wins because I like its narrative and time specific qualities as I am sure that in a few years the foreground will look very different.

The day and the workflow made today very enjoyable though.
