A photo a day – the Union

So it has been decided. But boy have the Sunday papers picked up on the implications of Scotland’s vote for the Union in terms of what it means for England. Even though my granddad was a Scot and I have some distant Irish blood I feel very English in culture.

Yet the reality is I probably have more in common with spinal cord injured people wherever they hail from than non disabled countrymen.

Much of the image is quite soft as it was shot at a wide aperture and hand held at 1/8th but the harsh processing and slightly de-saturated blue evokes the sort of sinister air that the poor old flag deserves – it’s been through a lot.
