The image is really all about scale and how things change the closer you look at them. At first glance this looks like simple uniform stripes, but if you look closely you will see there is more to it than just that. (It’s a discourse on uniformity and difference.)
I think this is less Victoria Coombes and more Sean Scully. 🙂
