It’s strange being in the house by myself for a few days. Karen and Alex are in Berlin with Greg, helping him sort out his stuff before returning home, and somehow this affects my body clock. Accordingly I was up early this morning and while my actions were similar to most Sundays – getting the paper and spending most of the day reading it – the walk around and the reading of the paper was different.
Firstly the M&S car park was empty and ownerless. When I usually get the paper after 11am it’s near full with all the spaces taken up by cars, staff and customers; and secondly the early morning light blasted through the front room and made the moment its own for a little while.
K and Alex will be back late today and Greg tomorrow. That will be nice.
