A photo a day – no Orchids

As usual I visited dad today. We ate our fish and chips, but before I ordered his groceries online he had a little list of things for me to do: change the time on his microwave, cooker and mobile phone and stop the printer from only partially printing Tesco pages. Well we only got as far as the first item as I while fiddling with his microwave I accidently programmed it while still failing to change the time. After searching online for the manual I sorted the clock out – but the rest will have to wait as he had an appointment at the doctors. So after much faffing around we only managed to do the groceries order before it was K’s turn to pick dad up to take him to the hospital to see his doctor. (I can’t take dad as he can’t lift my wheelchair into the boot).

While I was in the kitchen I noticed just how bare it has become. For example, mum used to keep Orchids on the window sill  but now it’s empty. The whole scene was made worse by the rotten weather and lack of light.

Dad isn’t enjoying life at all now – it’s all just a burden.
