A photo a day – finding purpose

When I arrived at dad’s today I was confronted with this. cards

Dad had his albums open and ready for me to peruse. This pleased me. It’s hard for him to find purpose and meaning in life after mum’s death and we have discussed his need to have something to get up for each morning so I felt it was a good sign when he began collecting old cigarette cards a couple of months ago.  I think the idea came from our having discussed the subject just before mum got ill – see here https://anomiepete.wordpress.com/2014/07/19/a-photo-a-day-reminders-of-long-ago/

The front room also had some flowers in it, something not seen since mum died so that was nice. Steph, my late brother’s wife, brought them up on a recent visit.
