Same difference

I visited dad yesterday and one of the photos I took was looking at mum’s front garden. At the time I didn’t think anything of the photo and thought more about how the vista had changed from one where that little plot of soil was loved and cared for to now being a scene of neglect and decline.

Then today I happened to look at the photo a day taken last year and today’s photo was the same vista. Here are the two photos side by side.


In the left hand image the colours of the flowers coming through for Spring are clearly visible as is mum’s car. By contrast yesterday’s photo is much more obscure because the focus is on the net curtain and so the vista behind it is less clear. I suppose the photos are a metaphor for last year and now.
