Project 10: symbols and visibility

Really this is just a continuance of my playing and experimenting with symbols and their evocation. Today it’s been more about colour, repetition, levels of visibility and format. The aim is really to try and get the viewer to look more intensely at the image and to think about what they see.

Thoughts
I used the blue to try and convey a sense of blueness/sadness but on reflection think the monochrome appears better – less contrived.  The first image has the active symbol camouflaged, the second embossed and the third? Well that’s for you to determine.

Symbols 4 (3 of 12)

The image really needs to be seen in the flesh so the viewer can really interrogate the frame and see the detail.
