Project 10 Symbols, scale and context

I am just picking up from my last post where I decided to explore scale and symbolism but placing them in a context and this was my first attempt. At first glance this looks like a building wall with a no entry sign and 4 bluish rectangles.

But if I show you the image detail you will see that its made up of a number of disability symbols as well as the no entry sign.

The simplicity of the shot and the context makes it work in terms of highlighting scale and transformation but viewers would have to be able to view in physically to make sense of the changing scale.

This work reminded me of an image I completed some months ago.

I think I am at the end of my journey with pure symbolism and, as this post suggests, should go onto explore symbolism in the context of signs. So that is where I will be headed next term.
