I’m tired

I’m tired of paralysis,
I’m tired of pissing in bags,
I’m tired of keeping body and soul together,
I’m tired of pretending to be happy;

I’m tired of the palaver it takes to get up,
I’m tired of pain,
I’m tired of the palaver life takes,
I’m tired of pretending to be happy;

I’m tired of bleeding,
I’m tired of advancing but not moving,
I’m tired of the constant fear of physiological failure,
I’m tired of pretending to be happy;

My arms ache – I’m tired,
My bum aches – I’m tired,
My mind aches – I’m tired of pretending to be happy;

I’m tired;
weary,
exhausted,
worn-out,
drained,
bushed,
done-in,
beat,
spent,
I’m tired of pretending to be happy.

    I hear your message Pete and wish there was something I could do or say, except I’m listening.
