Project 13: the official representation of disabled people

I found an interesting site here

I thought this collage made quite a good statement about disability representation from an official standpoint. It shows men, Black men, women, children, symbols, independent wheelchair users, words, powerful men and film characters and so goes quite wide in its view. However in so doing the images either rely on reputation and knowledge that the (well known) person is disabled or explicitly include the impairment/disfigurement in the frame.

There is also a lot of narrative in some of the stamps. For example some are explicitly cure orientated others are aspirational or pitiful. Such evocations are far from what I want to say.
