The bricks obscure rather than illuminate, the plan wall looks okay. I am content with the words and this exercise seems to be all about form.

I’m not sure about the bricks. to me they make the words stand out more clearly, plus they give the sense of a barrier and the colour of them reminds me of skin/marks.
