Those of you that follow this blog will know that I am waiting for a pacemaker to be fitted (see here for a post about it.) Well I was phoned by the hospital today and told “P” day was to be next Friday!
Obviously, I’m feeling quite emotional: glad to be having the operation, scared too. It turns out that they can work on me with my Warfarin levels within their therapeutic range, so that’s good.
One big challenge is that my shoulder will probably be painful and stiff and this problem will be exacerbated as I can only move my arm and shoulder muscles.
Another challenge is that I am not allowed to drive for 7 days and so won’t be able to see dad. I’m trying not to worry about that as there is nothing I can do.
Still, I hope this is the light at the end of a very, very long tunnel.
Well at least you know know! Good luck, i hope it goes smoothly and you recover quickly- you should be on top form by September with all these tweaks 🙂
