Grandad is the man standing front centre-left of the photo in the white shirt and shorts. The copy with the photo says: “1913 JL Dunbar on manoeuvres Parch House”. He service in the Royal Scots from October 14th 1896 until May 18th 1919 and ended up Pipe Major.
I don’t know where Parch House is or was though. He died aged 87 in 1963 when I was 5 years old.
