A photo a day – things almost unnoticed

One of the discarded efforts from yesterday’s shoot was this typology of spectacles.

Newfaces

While it offered a good view of the shape of the frames – helped by a monochrome treatment to reduce distractions – the smallest movements of my head were exaggerated by the tight framing. So that led to more work and the other images created and shown yesterday. However part of the process obviously involved my  opening and closing six spectacle cases and led to my deciding to shoot them. I mean, who could think up so many different ways of designing a box!

So I selected this as my shot of the day because I’d not really taken any notice of the subject matter before.  (I am glad I kept my old glasses as I use them for computer work and my new ones for distance.)
