A photo a day – when worldly matters become secondary

Mum and dad got their postal votes this week and there were sitting on the mantelpiece when I arrived for lunch. We didn’t talk about the elections though as  mum’s been feeling ill and got the results of a CT scan back yesterday: they found two lumps in different locations within her abdomen.

There is nothing anyone can do until a biopsy is carried out and so we wait – but its at times like this then politics and world events seem remote from, and secondary to, family life.
