A photo a day – September Exuinox and my little tree

I keep on coming back to this tree. I posted about it back in March when it was first planted (link) and then again in July (link). Well now the tree is a riot of colour.

There is something quite satisfying in returning to the same subject again and again. It makes one really look and see continuities and changes. I’m not suggestion a follow Mark Hirsch’s example and photo the tree every day for one year (link) and another (link). But if you look at his work the power of each individual photo to reveal an aspect of the tree can be seen.  Yet the images of my tree are more in line with Heidi Specker’s Im Garten (link) as its difficult to remove the seeing of the individual images from the context of this 365 just like her image are seen both as single vistas and in relation to the whole book[1].
