A photo a day – the feast of the immaculate conception or the origin of the world

The miraculous event of The Virgin Mary conceiving Christ is celebrated by some people today and so today’s photo took that as its inspiration along with Gustave Courbet’s The Origin of the World.

Feast-Edit-Edit

The photo began as a selfie I needed to send to my GP that I adapted. My wife couldn’t see the body in the image (arm and waist bottom right of frame crutch centre left and right leg leading up to the top of the frame and inside of my left leg leading off to the left of the frame). Does that make the image abstract?
