Twelve Days in Summer

This project has arisen organically. Over much of 2014 I had been carrying a camera with me at all times and shooting and posting a photo a day. As part of that process I captured a lot of what was happening as mum fell ill and died and now have gone back and reviewed and curated those images into a single project entitled Twelve Days in  Summer. You can see the set here.

  1. Went through the same with my MIL last week. Your images are beautiful, sad and very respectful. A fitting tribute to your Mother.

Pete, this project is beautifully done. I got quite choked up going through the pages. I hadn’t seen the later images of when your mom was being sick. These gave me a jolt bringing me abruptly to the pain your mother was experiencing. The inclusion of the BBQ images, the smiling bedside images and the nose thumbing (!) kept me seeing the larger picture of life though and so even though it’s a terribly sad project, it was also uplifting.
    Thank you for sharing.
